When planning, teachers must consider students' prior knowledge, needs, diverse learning for strengths and gaps, social-emotional, and learning styles.

According to author Travis Bradberry, research proves that emotional intelligence (EQ) is the critical factor that sets star performers apart from everyone else. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the “something” in each of us that is a bit intangible. It affects how we manage behavior, navigate social complexities, and make personal decisions to achieve positive results.
